I kind of already did my august favorites for beauty products (look back in my older posts) & most of my favorite products still remain the same for now... but i still wanted to share some of my current, RANDOM obsessions at the moment with you all :P

Mcdonald's Sweet Tea $1 !!

SOO refreshing on these hothot days... u must try this! AND they give you a bigggg@$$ cup for only $1... crazy!!

Leopard print!!

UGH.. i will never get sick of this print! I love love leopard print~ Definitely a major trend for Fall 2010 once again! Who loves leopard print ?!?! High 5!!

Straw Fedora Hats!!

I'm lovin' these cute hats! They spark up any outfit & look super boho chic on~
Don't by shy or scared you might look like a farmer ... it's totally chic.. ;) Plus it is a super quick fix to a bad hair day!! hehe

Long lashes & minimal eyeshadow!!

With this hot weather.. i really haven't been feeling like wearing smokey eyes or heavy eyeshadow so i have just been putting on vanilla eyeshadow (by MAC) all over the lid & as a brow highlighter then black liquid liner & some AWESOME mascara...
I'm still obsessed with the Makeup Forever Smokey Lash Mascara! <3 Look how long my lashes look!! I don't even need to wear false lashes when I wear this mascara!! WOO HOO~ THANK YOU MAKEUP FOREVER <3

Review: St. Ives Green Tea Scrub!!!

now, you might be thinking.. you just bought the st.ives green tea scrub.. why are you reviewing it already?!




WELLLLLL... i fell in LOVE with it after the first use!! I'm OBSESSED!! My skin cleared up and got soo smooth and it also made my skin tone alot more even...
It got rid of alot of the redness i had which was a major issue. I've been using it once or sometimes twice a day and it isn't too harsh and doesn't dry out my skin either!

ALSO, unlike the apricot scrub this has smaller particles and is more gentle on your skin. It has a pleasant smell and leaves your skin literally feeling like a baby's butt after!!! Who doesn't want that... LOL :)


I got this in Target's travel section for $0.99... NINETY NINE CENTS OKAY?! CRAZY RIGHT!
I will be buying the full size asap... It is an AWESOME scrub at an AWESOME price.

URBAN DECAY NAKED PALETTE!

hey dolls!
after weeks of searching... i finally got the Urban Decay Naked Palette!!!
I looked in all sephora stores, sephora online, ulta stores, ulta online... & it was SOLD OUT!!!



The colors are GORGEOUS & it comes with my beloved 24/7 liner but its double ended (brown/black)!! It also comes with a mini primer potiion as well :)
I love the Book of Shadows I & II and the Alice in Wonderland palettes but on a day to day basis i only wear neutral shades so I never got those palettes because I didn't think i would use the bright colors as much (although they ARE gorgeous!!).
This palette, like all of the other Urban Decay palettes, is highly pigmented and has very unique yet neutral shades that you can wear anywhere!!

July-August Favorites !

i've just been so busy with work and transferring schools !
but i've been trying out a ton of new stuff lately & found some great stuff ~

here are some of my faves 4 all y'all...

NYX Black Label Pressed Powder


Been using this to set my foundation and it makes your skin feel super silky and soft!
Lasting power is pretty good & it definitely does not look cake-y or feel heavy on your face at all!

LAURA MERCIER Silk Creme Foundation


This is an awesome foundation !!! Laura Mercier has the best tinted moisturizer & foundations!
This has a very natural yet full coverage look. It really evens out your skin without looking to heavy.
This foundation is a must-have!!
The tube looks a little small and overpriced (around $40 @ Sephora) but you only need a very small amount for each application so it should last a long time!! Mine sure has :)

MAKEUP FOREVER Smokey Lash Mascara


So after hearing many good reviews about this mascara I got it & tested it out for about a month.
May i say...this mascara has truly impressed me!! As I've mentioned before.. I've tried an endless amount of mascaras & this one seems to work best for me!!
It is very volumizing, lengthening, and holds a good curl too!! It does NOT flake or smudge at all & lasts ALLLL day. No joke... go pick this up at Sephora right now!! :)

DIOR Lipglow


This stuff is soo cool! It's pretty much a lip balm that helps bring out the natural color in your lips. (Kind of similar to the effect of Smashbox O glow or the too-faced brand one)
It doesn't come out too pink and gives you a natural, healthy color on your lips. AND it is sooo very moisturizing!
It is quite expensive but works well!!

CLARINS Stop Imperfections Blemish Control


I've been using this stuff for years now. Instead of major breakouts, I usually just get blemishes once in awhile (which i am so thankful for!! :p)
BUT, when i DO get those blemishes...they are a pain in the a--...
Have you guys ever had one of those blemishes that just take days just to be ready to pop? And even then, it still doesnt go away completely!
Well, try this Clarins Blemish Control Stick.
It has a small metal roller ball and it has salicydic acid which helps calm and dry out your blemish! It really helps~

TARGET Up&Up Makeup Wipes


I actually bought the BLUE pack & loved it! They tone my skin & take off all of the dirt & makeup!! Plus they are superrr cheap :)

May Favorites!! A little late...

hey dolls... sorrie i've been soo caught up with things lately i haven't been able to post anything!
but i decided to quickly post up some May favorites for u all :)... a little late but better late than never rite? (:

1. The Body Shop- Body Butter in Strawberry

- sooo moisturizing !
- smells delicious.. *warning* you WILL want 2 eat yourself after application! :p
- not greasy & absorbs quickly

2. The Body Shop- Seaweed Mattifying day cream

- really does mattify your skin!
- good for those hot/humid days wear you feel like your face may melt
- controls oil very well
- dries quickly & is more like a gel consistency rather than a cream

3. Nars- Orgasm and Laguna- blush/bronzer duo

- love this popular blush/bronzer! really lives up to the hype
- kinda pricey..
- orgasm gives you that perfect flushed GLOW & laguna is perfect for contouring or giving you a more bronzed glow for the summer

4. Revlon- lipgloss in Lilac Pastelle

- ahh can't get enough of this lipgloss!
- such a gorgeous pink/lavender color on the lips
- very very pigmented!
- not drying on the lips
- quite long lasting...
- also.. its a drugstore item :) so yay!

5. Rosebud- Strawberry lip balm

- soo moisturizing... this is a must have in the purse
- only downside is i don't like applying lip balm with my fingers everytime... =\

6. Yves Saint Laurent- Long-lasting Eyeliner in 3

- perfect dark, ocean blue for the waterline! looks gorgeous with any eye look
- this will make the whites in your eyes POP!
- stays on the waterline pretty well

7. NYX- Smokey Eyes Palette

- great palette!! soo pigmented & the colors are perfect for a smokey OR everyday look
- easy to blend and pack on the color
- ranges from your highlight color to the brown/black smokey dark colors :)

Review: L'oreal Go 360 Clean Deep Cream Cleanser

hey girlies..
here's a quick review on the new l'oreal go 360 clean deep cream cleanser.
cuhs let's be real...not everyone can afford a bottle of philosophy's purity or any other expensive cleanser all the time.. geeeez :)



So i got this at target for $5.99.
It is a very gentle cleanser but works pretty well!
I love the lil scrublet.. its just made of rubber and has little soft spikes but it feels really good and feels like it really helps exfoliates and gets the dead skin and dirt off your face!

The formula itself is just a lotion like consistency & leaves your skin with a very tingly/cooling feeling afterwards. I actually like the tingling sensation... it feels really refreshing! This cleanser also takes makeup off pretty well..

I wouldnt recommend using it in the eye area though (i avoid it) because it sometimes even stings my eyes if i get the product too close to the eye area because of the menthol/cooling sensation of it.

I recommend this product to you guys~ try it out. :)

Shoe Fetish: Comfy Heels for the Summer!

hey dolls..
just wanted to share a small shoe haul with u all (that rhymes hehe) :)
i was on the hunt for COMFY yet still HIGH platform heels...
I went to Steve Madden several times but they never have my size in the cute styles!! (i'm a size 5.5... small feet i know i know :p) So I eventually gave up on Steven Madden after going to FOUR of their stores!

so here's what i got..

1. BAKERS- JAZZIE

These cork platform heels are sOO damn comfy.. they have a lining of cushion on the sole that make it extra comfy as well. The platform makes it comfy because it doesnt force your feet to arch as much.
Best of all... these heels were on SALE! for $39.99... i believe they have them on the website (bakersshoes.com) for $29.99!! Check it out!
This white/nude color a must-have for the summer~

2. BAKERS- ERYN

This is not the actual one I got but these are cute too! The ones I got are the same style as this one but the color is a ROYAL BLUE & the material is suede.
These were on sale for $39.99 as well! These are cute peep-toe platform heels but these are actually even comfier than the other ones even though they are super high!

3. TORY BURCH LEATHER WEDGES - PATTI

Last but not least (these are my absolute FAVES) the TORY BURCH wedges in PATTI. I got these babies in the color TAN... this year they came out in colors TAN, PINK, & BLUE. But I thought the tan ones were the easiest to match with every outfit.
These are super comfy yet still give you a few inches of height! They ARE quite pricey ($225.00) but soo worth every penny.. these will last you a long time as long as you take care of them!

Review: Essie VAN D'GO

i'm lovvvin this nail polish right now.. just got it at Ulta the other day !

ESSIE: Van D'go

This is a gorrrgeous coraly/pinky color~ Perfect for the summer!
It's a bright color but still very wearable & appropriate for a work place! Check it out :)
It applies very smooth, not streaky at all. Put on 2 coats and you'll get the exact color that's shown through the bottle! There are no shimmer/glitters in it at all, its just a very milky/creamy looking color! (The creamy, no shimmer nail polishes are my faves!)
It may chip in a few days so make sure you use a good top coat (I highly recommend Seche Vite top coat!! It's freekin awesome~)

Tips&Tricks: Smooth & Shiny Legs!!

Hey dolls.. so now that fall/winter is completely over & the hot weather is fast approaching we all need to show off those legs right?! Your gonna end up wearing alot of cute dresses, shorts, and skirts but your legs needa be smooth & shiny! Nobody likes to see dry, flakey legs.. yuck! Hahaha so here are a couple tips..

1. EXFOLIATE YO LEGSS
Before you shave.. make sure you exfoliate so u can get all that dead skin off and have the hairs come up so u can shave all them nastay thangs off hahah try this product..

Its by Soap & Glory.. you can find this at TARGET! They have all pink & cute packaging & the descriptions on the products are always soo funny.. check it out.
But pretty much this product is an exfoliater for your dry/flakey legs.. it really has salt crystals that ACTUALLY scrub your skin instead of some scrubs that just melt off right away. It has an almond sort of extract but it smells good! It also MOISTURIZES your legs.. it just makes them really smooth & gives an oiled up feeling afterwards.
I believe this product is around $10 at TARGET!

2. USE BODY BUTTER FOR SHAVING CREAM!?
Yes ladies.. you can! Try this one out..

I read somewhere that this can also be used as a shaving cream. I got this at Sephora for lyk $5... it smells delicious and its also very moisturizing as well. Warning.. It can be kind of slippery to use in the shower so just be careful :)

3. DONT USE A DULL RAZOR
This last tip is an obvious one.. but if your razor is RUSTY or has been used for awhile.. THROW IT OUT & get another one! The last thing you want is ugly cuts & bleeding from your razor.. -.-

PS...
PLEASE.. DO NOT go to a nail salon to get a pedicure right after you have shaved..
it is really easy for bacteria to get into your skin this way! be careful~

April Favorites..

hey dolls.. sorry i haven't been posting as often as i should. i have tons of ideas on posts to write but i got a allergic reaction to some type of food and got hives all over my body & i went to the emergency.. so i've been resting :(.

anyways, on a brighter note. here are all my april faves 2 make up for all that~
(in no particular order)

1. Unite 7 seconds Detangler

This is the SH!T... after you shower, apply this to damp/wet hair and comb out. It'll make your hair feel soo soft and smell awesome! This is a leave in conditioner & it really nourishes your hair. It is around $26 but worth every penny! Not sure where to get this product.. possibly at beauty supply stores?

2. Urban decay 24/7 glide on eyeliner in ZERO

This is only the BEST eyeliner pencil out there.. duh. it actually STAYS on your waterline and applies very creamy & smooth! Also the color comes out VERY black (which i love).. i'm almost done with my pencil.. gotta go buy another one ;)

3. MAC Blush in Sunbasque

This will give you that perfect glow. It looks quite dark in the picture but just lightly sweep it on the apples of your cheeks to give you a healthy look. I always use either Sunbasque or Pink Swoon depending on my mood :). You guys have GOT to have this blush in your collection.. it looks fabulous on ANY skin tone.

4. NYX Lipgloss in CRYSTAL SODA

I'm not sure if the above image is the exact color but if you ever see NYX produts check out this lipgloss! Its a really pretty pink/gold shimmer lipgloss, its not drying, and there are tons of glitter in there (kinda like the dazzleglasses but not sticky like those!! yuck) It applies very smooth however, it's not very longlasting for me...it also smells delicious!!

5. Wet & Wild Ultimate Brow Kit!

I already did a review on this one but I'm lovin it so far~ it really defines my eyebrows & there is such a big difference if i don't define them. The powders are verrry pigmented as well. ONLY around $3-4 too!! YAY

6. MAC's eyeshadow in MULCH

I've been wearing this color almost everyday! It's an awesome neutral color with gold-ish shimmers in it. It blends very easily & is a perfect/quick color to apply all over the lip when your on the go!!

7. L'oreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara

I haven't used drugstore mascaras for awhile but i decided to pick this up after all of the good reviews I've heard on it. It is very volumizing, lengthing, and curling all in one. I actually allmoooost like this much better than the Buxom Lash Mascara because it is much cheaper. However, the only downside to this is you need to wipe your brush on the top of the tube before you apply or else it'll get super clumpy on your lashes.

8. Urban Decay Primer Potion in EDEN

I didn't like this eye primer at first but for the past couple months, i kept using it (becuhs its the only non-creasing primer i had) and it's reali been growing on me!! I hafto use this everyday now & i can't live without it. It evens out the entire eyelid and acts like a concealer. It grabs the eyeshadow colors very well & hardly ever creases on me (& fyi, ALOT of primers crease on my eyelid) Only problem (which we all know now..) is the PACKAGING! It becomes such a mess after awhile & becomes hard to get the product out but whatever.. its what's inside that counts rite :\? haha

9. Kiehl Supremely Gentle Eye Makeup Remover

I've been using this for a couple years now & i cannot live without this remover!! It is a lotion-like consistency & truly takes all of your eye makeup off GENTLY! I rub it in all over my eyes then take a soft tissue & wipe off the dirt. Then i use my next favorite item...

10. Purity Facial Cleanser

This is the ultimate cleanser.. i believe i already mentioned this product but pretty much, it'll take off all the makeup/dirt left on your face! This is a must-have.

Review: 99cents Essence Nail Polish

hey guys..
so today i'm going to review these nail polishes i found at Ulta the other day

They are by a brand called "Essence" not "Essence of Beauty" like the brushes lol..kind of confusing isnt it?
So these are ONLY 99cents at Ulta!! I believe this is a newer brand. They have a small section of makeup & everything is soo cheap... i was kinda of hesitant to try some of the stuff but i just got 2 nail polishes and a liquid eyeliner all for under $5!

Here's what the nail polishes look like...


I got a white-ish color & a light pink-ish color because i had an interview & needed a neutral/professional looking color! But there was some gorgeous colors there... a coral color, lavender, bright greens, blues, pinks, etc.
I wasn't expecting much out of them but they're actually not bad at all! What i love about them is that the brush is quite thick so it is very easy to apply and comes out not streaky at all!! For a 99cent nail polish that is an amazing quality.

The white-ish color & light pink color i got are quite sheer but after about 2 coats the color comes out quite true.

Sorry guys i didn't take a picture of when i applied it..:( but trust me .. for 99cents they're pretty good... better than spending 8-9dollars on an OPI one!

Review: Essence of Beauty Travel Brush Kit

hey ladies.. just a quick post today
i bought the essence of beauty mini travel brush kit at CVS yesterday.


Sorry the picture looks sort of weird but u get the idea.
Anyways, i wanted the smaller brushes so I could carry it around in my purse & i've heard soo many good reviews on this brand! I'm not sure if it's because I got the travel kit but I was a little disappointed =T...

The brushes are very soft & some are quite dense as well but it wasn't really working very well for me..mayb because they are quite small?? idk but i should have just got the regular one with 3 double sided brushes that everyone has been talking about! oops...but these were just TOO cute to pass up :P
I mainly got this kit for the blush brush & it's actually pretty dense but the size is a little too small for application..

Anyways, i would rate this kit a 7/10.. & i would not repurchase it.
They are pretty good brushes for the price tho.. (only $10 for the whole thing!)

do you guys think i should go buy the other kit with 3 double sided brushes instead?!
do any of you have this?!

How To: Keep Your Teeth Lookin' Supafly!

hey dolls..
what is one major turn-off that EVERYONE can agree on!? bad breath & yellow teeth.. DUH! So i've come up with some tips (that have been working for ME) to keep your pearly whites lookin' supadupafly ;)

1. always make sure you FLOSS at least once a day...

These are the disposable floss picks that i use.. you can get them at any drugstore for only a couple of dollars! Instead of waiting for your dentist to clean out all the plaque stuck between your teeth, do it everyday yourself! First, take the "pick" side and get all the plaque/food/junk that's stuck in between every tooth. Then, take the floss side and floss in between every tooth to get whatever junk you may have missed. They're also disposable so there's no hassle with these :)

2. brush your teeth DAILY (at least twice a day)

Here's the toothpaste that I use. I brush my teeth once in the morning, once during the day, and once at night. I love this toothpaste... it's very refreshing & whitening as well.

3. brush your TONGUE!

Get a toothbrush with a tongue scraper on the back of the brush. I believe this one is the one I use & it's by Colgate. It's important to brush your tongue because there's so much yuckiness left there & that's what creates the bad breath.. EW.


so there are the 3 easy steps... i'm sure many of you do this already but i'm also sure that alot of you get too tired or lazy to do it as often as you should... keeping your teeth clean is soo worth it in the long run :)

try out these tips & let me know what you think..
also try using the new Crest 3D line.. it's working pretty well for me & has made my teeth alot whiter..it seems to work better than the Crest Vivid White toothpaste line.
I did use the Advanced Crest Whitestrips before & they work wonders for only around $30! BUT my teeth are quite sensitive & couldn't really handle the product... =T
anywho.. please leave your opinions below.. i'd love to hear what works for you!

Splurge vs. Sweet Find!

hey girlies.. sorry i didn't post anything for awhile.. I've been really caught up with things..SORRY! :(
But now we're back on track...k so i just recently started filling in my eyebrows to create a more defined shape. My eyebrows don't really need alot of filling in because they aren't sparse at all but i just like to create a little bit more definition and shape...:)

SPLURGE...I tried the benefit brow zings kit



The packaging is decent.. it comes with a mirror, 2 mini brushes, and tweezers. It's awesome though because its not really a powder.. the product is kind of a powder+wax mixed together to create a thicker formula. So when you apply it... you really only need a couple dabs on your brush and you'll still have to blend it out alot! Overall, its very pigmented & lasts all day. The mini brushes that it comes with is also pretty awesome but you can use any angled brush with it :)
I think it's around $30 at Sephora or Ulta or anywhere that carries Benefit products.

SWEET FIND... I found Wet & Wild's Brow kit!!



This is only about $4 at drugstores & its very comparable to Benefit's brow kit. The one i got is in "Ash Brown". There's another kit that's for lighter hair. So in the kit it comes with one lighter brown powder & one darker brown powder & one clear wax...BUTBUTBUT.. the packaging is S@#T!! lol.. it's pretty hard to open & its just cheap plastic.. but whatever it's FOUR BUX! haha can't complain.. but the powders are SUPER pigmented (don't judge a book by its cover).. you really only need like ONE dab for your entire eyebrow so be careful when applying~ blend it all out before you dip your brush in again ;) it's also pretty long-lasting & the mini angled brush it comes with is decent too! I'm lovin' this kit at the moment..especially since its only a fraction of the price of Benefit's or even Anastasia's Brow Kits!! :P

Top 5 Lip Products

hey dolls.. so i was going to post a mini haul but i couldn't find pictures & everything for it yet so mayb i'll post that tomorrow. But for now i'll share my favorite lip products wit u all..

1. Mac's Lipstick in "Blooming Lovely" (amplified lipstick)

Lo-lo-loveee this gorgeous purple lipstick!! Tone it down with "myth" or "creme d'nude" for a more nude look. The formula is also not drying at all. I'm loving bright-ass lipsticks at the moment!!<3

2. Mac's Lipstick in "Cream Cup" (cremesheen lipstick)

You can't really tell in this picture but its actually a very pink color! Its a cremesheen formula so it's not drying either. Again, use myth or any nude color to tone it down to a light pink color if you want!

3. C.O. Bigelow Ultra Mentha lipshine

I lovee how this gives you that menthol, cooling feeling on your lips and it lasts quite awhile too... it's infused with peppermint oil and makes your lips feel refreshed! Put it over any lipstick and it'll instantly make it look super glossy and shiny.

4. Soft lips Vanilla flavor

This is an awesome chapstick! I've tried their other flavors before too but they seem way more drying than the vanilla one.. which is weird...shouldn't it be the same formula!? idk it cud just be me but i didn't like the other flavors. This has a slight cooling effect & smells delicious!

5. Mac's Cremesheen Lipgloss in "Ever So Rich"

This lipgloss is quite sheer but is still good to layer with a lipstick.. it doesn't last very long on the lips but the color is just too pretty.. its a light lavender shade.

that's all for now.. i lovee lip products & i usually carry about 5-10 in my purse but i narrowed it down to these because i've noticed i use these ones everyday!!
